Description
144 GQ HGP Free Crossbred Steers. Majority exhibit good bone, length & depth for their age with good feet & are very quiet. They are well suited to grow out to Trade or Heavy Feeder weights with majority having the capacity to make good Bullocks. There are 103 x Soft Crossbreds suitable for Supermarket Trade & 41 x Flatbacks. There are 92 Vendor Bred steers & 52 steers that were purchased locally 4 months ago. I mouthed 8 of the heavier, older looking Steers, all with solid milk teeth. They weighed 247 – 371 kg to average 301.3 kg at assessment (1 hour off feed & water & 2 days in the yards). Weaned 3 months ago, they have lost all associated bloom & have heaps of compensatory weight gain on offer. There are approx 45 Steers that were processed a couple of months ago with some still looking a bit masculine, however they are not stags. Please refer to above trait table, to be factored into bidding. Wando has Prickly Acacia in seed, however Steers will be held in a holding paddock with no Prickly Acacia until delivery so should pass most viable seed.
