480 mixed sex #0 and # 1 weaners  made up of approximately 240 (6 decks) of steers and 240 (6 decks) of heifers. Vendors are mustering and weaning at the moment and when I inspected they had about half the sale mob in the yard and they would expect to have all calves weaned by Monday 26th April. I weighed a run of 63 head that were in the yards and I have attached spreadsheet with their individual weights (Weaner Weights) The males averaged 215 kg and the females averaged 211 kg.  There was a few big unbranded mickies and some # 9 steers in the photos that are over 280kg and a price can be negotiated on after sale of others. I did speak to vendor tonight and he said the other  weaners that came in today are probably 20kg heavier and there is a probably a slightly bigger % of unbranded calves. Of the ones we weighed there was 42% Charbray, 17% Droughtmaster, 22% Brahman Cross with only slight humps and 19% Brahman. They were predominantly all good to very good quality, medium frame weaners that were well dehorned. I was impressed with their temperament as most came onto scales and stood quietly while we weighed them. Weaners are located in tick area and if going to tick free country they will be required to dip at Julia Creek or Cloncurry and vendor is prepared to pay the cost to clear them.

Asking $1200 + GST for males and $ 1050 + GST on property
