660 VGQ Vendor Bred NSM 6 – 8 Year Old “Boonooke Blood” Merino Ewes. They range from backward store to forward store condition 3 months off the board. Approximately 77% had lambs weaned off them last week & 10% of the tail was removed at assessment. Ideal Ewes to rejoin to a Ram of your choice or freshen up on crop or pasture to heavier slaughter weights. The Wando sheep are classed annually. Of Ewes assessed, there were approx 15% with longer toes, 5% missing 1 Ear, 2% missing both ears & 1 Ewe with an undershot jaw. Ewes were put into fresh paddock last week that had a small infestation of Noogoora Burr in paddock. Majority of Ewes have varying degrees of Noogoora Burr around their head & neck however there is almost none present on their bellies or sides. If wigged most burr would be gone. Vendor has swapped them into another paddock clean of Burr so they will not get any more by delivery. *Please note that Ewes will need to be picked up by Sunday the 4th of October at the latest*.
