300 PTIC GQ #5 Droughtmaster heifers that were Vet preg-tested in calf in May 2017. Approximately 80 were PTIC 2 to 4 months (feather banged) with the balance over 4 months (bang tailed) in calf. I observed 3 fresh calves during the inspection. These heifers were originally bred in the NT and were purchased as yearling heifers in September 2016 and joined to VGQ Droughtmaster bulls. The majority are red in colour with approximately 10% Brahman / Droughtmaster cross and 10% showing higher Brahman content. They are very quiet and well-handled heifers and the majority are one brand & earmark. These are mostly good bone, medium to large frame heifers that look to have a weight range of 350 to 500 kgs to average around 450 / 460 kgs. There is the odd weaner heifer in some photos that are not included in the sale. One heifer was observed with a small dog bite and most heifers were polled or dehorned with only a few with horns. They are in good forward store to prime condition.
