6 decks of VGQ HGP free steers in fresh forward store condition. Majority of these steers have very good bone, length, depth & frame for their breed & age. There are 10 steers that have Brahman content in them with the balance best described as flat back Droughtmaster steers. One steer has a small lump on his forehead – old hard lump that is not detrimental to his health (please see photo). 48 number 8 steers were mouthed at assessment with the 10 x 4 tooth steers removed from the mob. The other 38 number 8 steers were milk and two tooth. The number 9 steers were not mouthed. Three steers have white faces & 6 steers are brindles. A small percentage of the steers are showing signs of rubbing for lice along their necks. They had a weight range of 396 to 519 kg to average 445 kg after a 14 hour overnight curfew. Quality HGP free young steers that would be ideal to fatten on an oats crop or to put into a feedlot.
